Application Area

Common Problem

  • How to connect the serial port of the printer?

All of our integrated printers (products that need to be integrated into the device) have a 232 serial port or TTL serial port with 4 pins, defined as TX, RX, GND, and DTR. Currently, the actual amount of data printed is not large, usually using 3 lines, which are TX, RX, and GND
  • After using the printer for a period of time, it may not print clearly. Is there no ink left?

No, this type of thermosensitive printer does not require consumables such as ink, toner, or ribbons. The color development principle relies on the printer's movement heating to make the thermosensitive paper, and the color development agent on top of it produces the color that we see as a small ticket. The reason for unclear printing of thermal printers is mostly related to the thermal color agent coating of thermal paper. However, cheap thermal paper on the market has poor thermal color agent, resulting in blurry printing and short retention time of handwriting. Generally, the handwriting will fade and disappear after 3-6 months. Long term thermal paper uses imported thermal color agent, which can print clearly and retain Japanese handwriting for a relatively long time (1-3 years). Attention: Due to the chemical properties of thermosensitive colorants, thermosensitive paper should be stored away from light, water, and high temperatures to avoid failure.
  • What is the situation of unclear printing effect?

    1. First, troubleshoot the issue with the printer itself. Open the paper compartment cover and check for dirt on the rollers and print head. If not, troubleshoot the issue. If so, gently clean it up! 2. Check if there is moisture on the paper roll. If not, it can also be ruled out! 3. It's just that the current of the power supply is not enough, and there is a possibility of virtual calibration. You can replace it with a higher power supply for testing,
  • Do I need to install a driver when printing via USB on a computer?

If necessary, you can control printing through the USB on the computer side. You need to install a printer driver, and then call the original driver to print when the software controls, just like the principle of calling the local laser printer or inkjet printer after the WORD is edited! Using driver printing, there is no need to worry about the printer's instruction manual, but using driver printing and some of the printer's status feedback functions may not be able to communicate well with the software layer!
