Many people have been using label printers for a long time, but only know about Grassin backing paper. In fact, there are many types of base paper, and Grassin paper is the most commonly used on the market. The base paper of adhesive materials, also known as base material or release paper. There is a layer of silicon oil layer on the base paper, which functions to prevent the adhesive from sticking to the base paper.

　　According to material classification, label printing base paper can also be divided into paper and film. It can be divided into transparent base paper, semi transparent base paper, and opaque base paper. According to the process, it can be divided into high-pressure glossy base paper, mechanically processed matte base paper, etc. Usually, everyone has heard of white background copperplate paper stickers, yellow background copperplate stickers, etc., which are distinguished based on the color of the base paper. Grassin base paper is a semi transparent base paper with ultra matte finish.

　　Below are a few types of inkjet label paper substrates, as follows:

　　1. Ultra glossy base paper. Generally 60-80 grams per square meter, super luminous. According to different pulp formulas, SCK base paper and Grassin base paper are divided into yellow, blue, and white, semi transparent.

　　2. Machine processed calendered base paper- Generally 80-110 grams per square meter, the base paper is processed by machine calendering and is white and opaque.

　　3. Plastic film backing paper. The thickness is generally 38-60 microns, with good dimensional stability, high strength BOPP or PET, and transparent backing paper.

　　4. Surface coated with plastic backing paper. Apply plastic first, then apply silicon. Quantify at 80-150 grams per square meter. The base paper is usually yellow and white, which is an opaque base paper.
