The printing cost of flatbed printers is low. Universal printers can print single color patterns, full-color patterns, or excessively colored patterns all at once, without the need for complex processes such as plate making, sun drying, and ink adjustment, which shortens the construction period and saves printing costs. But sometimes universal printers may produce some odors in actual printing, and the worse the ink, the stronger the odor. If a salesperson says that ink does not produce an odor, it is impossible. The difference lies in the intensity of the odor and the degree of harm it poses to the surrounding area. Why does it produce an odor
1、 LED UV curing lamps produce slight ozone during irradiation, which is relatively mild and in small amounts, and generally cannot be smelled;
2、 Different materials of substrates are affected by the environment, which can decompose into related chemicals and produce irritating odors;
3、 The ink product itself contains a certain odor and will produce some odor after solidification, or it may react chemically with the substrate itself to produce an odor;
4、 Some users may add auxiliary materials such as additives to the actual printing of a universal printer according to their own product requirements, which may result in residual irritating odors
It is worth noting that the odor itself evaporates quickly and does not stay on the surface of the substrate for a long time. The actual operator only needs to maintain a distance of more than 2 meters from the printing platform of the universal printer to avoid the stimulation of ink odor. Nowadays, green printing has become an important requirement that the printing industry needs to meet, which requires printing equipment to achieve sustainable development goals. Flatbed machines can achieve this by allowing on-demand printing without discharging waste ink or materials, saving resources, using water-based ink, and being environmentally friendly.
