With the development of the printing industry and the continuous progress of technology, flatbed printers, as a high-tech inkjet printing equipment that is non-contact with objects, can perform full-color printing without any material limitations.
General object materials can be printed directly with ink, but some special materials may have the phenomenon of not absorbing ink, or ink is difficult to adhere to its smooth surface, so a coating is needed to treat the surface of the object, so that the ink and printing medium can perfectly combine and present a perfect printing effect.
The coating must have the ability to firmly adhere to the printing medium and blend well with the ink without affecting the final presentation effect of the ink on the medium.
Can coatings be universal on various printing media?
The answer is negative! Coatings are selected for use with printing media and ink. Coatings can take several minutes, such as metal coatings, ABS coatings, leather coatings, silicone coatings, glass coatings, PC coatings, etc. The editor will introduce the following commonly used coatings to you one by one:
Glass coating for tablet printers
PL: Suitable for organic glass, tempered glass, ceramics, ceramic tiles, and crystals, requiring special treatment. There are two types available: transparent and white, both of which can achieve bright and matte effects. For those with higher requirements for water resistance, they are usually paired with white oil. Adhesion is important, and the white oil should not be too strong, otherwise it is easy to dissolve the pattern. It is best to spray twice.
Tablet printer PC coating
PC is a hard material that usually has poor adhesion. Suitable for a type of material starting with the letter P, such as PS, PP, PVC, etc.
Metal coating for tablet printers
CP: Metal type, dry quickly; Spray coating requirements, with a thicker surface, otherwise it is easy to peel off;
DY: Metal and ceramic, drying slower than CP; Suitable for materials such as aluminum, copper plate, tin plate, aluminum alloy, etc., it can also be used in ceramic tiles and tempered glass, requiring special treatment. There are two options available: transparent and white, both of which can be used for glossy and matte effects. Mainly the smoothness of the surface, for example, if ceramics are smoother than glass, DY is used.
